Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. Organization administrators and coaches create accounts through the web platform, while players and parents are invited to create accounts by their organization.
1.2 Player Profile Information
Player profiles may include the following information, provided by coaches or organization administrators:
- First name, last name, and date of birth
- Playing position (Pitcher, Catcher, Infielder, Outfielder, etc.)
- Geographic information (county, state)
- Jersey number and unique Global Player Code
- Organization and team affiliations
- Email address and phone number (optional)
1.3 Performance & Athletic Data
We collect athletic performance metrics to track player development, including but not limited to:
- Pitching: Velocity, spin rate, strike percentage, ERA
- Hitting: Exit velocity, launch angle, batting average, home runs
- Fielding: Pop time, throwing accuracy
- Physical: Broad jump, vertical jump, sprint times, agility drills
- Custom Metrics: Organizations may define additional metrics specific to their development programs
1.4 Activity & Programming Data
We collect data related to training programs and activities assigned to players:
- Assigned exercises, drills, and training programs
- Completion status and actual performance values
- Set/rep counts, weight, distance, and time tracking
- Activity categories (Hitting, Pitching, Weightlifting, Mobility, Conditioning)
1.5 Communication Data
We collect communications exchanged through the platform:
- Messages and notes between coaches, players, and parents
- Media attachments (photos, videos) shared within the platform
- Post comments and organization announcements
1.6 Automatically Collected Information
- Usage Data: Information about your interactions with our service, including pages visited, features used, and time spent on the platform.
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, browser type, and IP address.
- Cookies & Similar Technologies: We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your experience and collect usage data.

- Provide and Maintain Service: To operate, maintain, and improve the VALT platform’s features and functionality.
- Player Development: To track and display athletic performance metrics, personal records, and progress trends over time.
- Communication: To facilitate messaging and notes between coaches, players, and parents within organizations.
- Organization Management: To enable organizations to manage rosters, teams, coaching assignments, and training programs.
- Notifications: To send service-related notifications, push notifications, and important updates about your account or organization.
- Analytics: To analyze usage patterns and improve our platform.
- Security: To detect, prevent, and address technical issues and fraudulent activity.
- Legal Compliance: To comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:
- Row Level Security: Database-level policies enforce strict data isolation between organizations, ensuring no cross-tenant data access is possible.
- Encryption: All data is encrypted in transit using TLS/SSL and at rest using industry-standard encryption.
- Secure Authentication: We use secure email/password authentication with encrypted credential storage. Passwords are never stored in plain text.
- Role-Based Access Controls: Strict role-based permissions (Admin, Coach, Player, Parent) ensure users can only access data appropriate to their role.
- Multi-Tenancy Architecture: Organizations are completely isolated with dedicated data boundaries enforced at every layer of the application.
- Secure Infrastructure: All data is stored with enterprise-grade cloud providers that maintain industry-standard compliance certifications.
However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information using industry-standard security practices, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children’s Privacy
Important:VALT is a player development platform that may be used by athletes under the age of 18. We take the privacy of minors seriously and have implemented specific safeguards.
- Organizations are responsible for obtaining appropriate parental or guardian consent before adding minor athletes to the platform.
- Parents and guardians can be invited to the platform with a dedicated Parent role that provides read-only access to their child’s data.
- Minor athletes access the platform exclusively through the mobile app, under the supervision of their organization.
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has been added to the platform without proper consent, please contact us immediately and we will remove their information.
Parent Access & Controls
VALT provides a dedicated Parent role that gives parents and guardians visibility into their child's development:
- Read-Only Access: Parents can view their child’s performance metrics, activity schedules, and progress — but cannot modify any data.
- Coach Communication: Parents can exchange messages with their child’s coaches directly through the platform.
- Multi-Child Support: Parents can link to multiple children, even across different organizations.
- Data Requests: Parents can request a copy of their child’s data or request deletion at any time by contacting us.
Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services and fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy.
Active Accounts
Account data, player profiles, performance metrics, and communication history are retained as long as the account remains active and the player is part of an organization.
Account Deletion
When you or your organization deletes an account, all associated data is permanently removed from our active systems within 30 days. Backup copies may be retained for up to 90 days for disaster recovery purposes only, after which they are permanently deleted.
Organization Departure
When a player leaves an organization, the organization retains the performance data collected during the player's membership. Players retain access to their own data through the Global Player Code system if they join another organization using VALT.
You can request deletion of specific data or your entire account at any time by contacting your organization administrator or reaching out to us directly.
Your Rights & Choices
You have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: You can access and review your personal information through your account or the mobile app.
- Correction: You can request updates or corrections to your personal information at any time through your organization’s admin or coach.
- Deletion: You can request deletion of your account and personal information at any time.
- Data Portability: Organizations can export roster reports and player data in portable formats (CSV).
- Opt-Out of Notifications: You can manage push notification preferences through your device settings or the mobile app.
- Cookie Preferences: You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings.
California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete personal information, the right to opt-out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information), and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your CCPA rights.
GDPR Rights (European Users)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation, including the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and the right to object to processing.
